About Tiffany

I've been a professional freelance communicator since 2006. My roots as a communicator date almost 20 years prior to the start of my freelance career, however - you could say that I've been writing for much of my life!

I have expertise in the design of:
  • web content,
  • web and print marketing devices,
  • resumes, CVs and cover letters,
  • white papers and press releases,
  • speeches, presentations and training,
  • and more!
I am a Dean's List graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in Legal Studies and a minor in History. Communication played a major role in my education at every level.  As a professional, I have earned certifications in human resources (PHR - Professional Human Resources), project management (PMP - Project Management Professional) and process improvement (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt).

I am a past president of a Toastmasters club and have earned Competent Communicator, Competent Leader and Advanced Leader Bronze awards. I successfully compete in speech competitions at the club, area, division and district levels. I also frequently serve as a high school speech and debate judge throughout Texas.

Communication has been a major part of various full-time jobs I have held since the late 1990s.  I have lead the creation of corporate policy documentation, HIPAA privacy collateral, and dozens of how-to guides.  I've written, edited and published internal communications in the healthcare and airline industries and championed initiatives ranging from usage of the original Blackberry devices to enabling a greener organization.  I've designed, developed and delivered training in more than two dozen topic areas and for audiences ranging from college students to corporate executives and in front of groups between dozens and hundreds in size.

In addition to my passion for freelance communication, I am also a fiction writer, cookbook author and blogger.  In late 2010, I founded KnowLinkGrow with fellow communicator Patti Colt.  Since then, we have published 50+ print and eBooks in various genres.

I am blessed to be the mom of two busy elementary-age kiddos, am a proud police wife, and am the primary caretaker for my mother-in-law, who has dementia.  I am also the servant to two cats and two dogs, and play reluctant host to our household ghost.

My current and past clients include private citizens, small businesses, large corporations and government agencies.  I own several blogs and contribute to many other sites.

I look forward to working with you to design, develop, write, proofread or edit communication vehicles integral to your professional or personal success!
